Our Goals

To improve student employability

We have already formed very strong links with a diverse range of local organisations ranging from small and medium-sized enterprises to large multinationals. CIS invest in the Unifrog work experience platform to ensure only quality work placements are secured.

This is one of the most exciting aspects of Chester International School. Regular, meaningful, high quality work placements are fundamental to our education experience.

From those placements, students can best develop the skills and work ethic to succeed in whatever pathway they choose.

Arts and Entertainment Management at Pace University.

After graduating from CIS with my IB Diploma, I moved to New York City to study Arts and Entertainment Management at Pace University. For the entertainment industry, New York is at the centre of it and has all the experiences needed to succeed. I now have opportunities to work and intern on Broadway, for television and film companies and business all over the city and world.

Taking the IB set up my journey to university and the working world perfectly. I found the independence and skills to help me achieve my goals and be successful. It is my hope for the future that I can continue to grow and find my career in the entertainment industry.

Medicine MBBS BSc at UCL Medical School.

My work experience, academic interests and workplace preferences led me to being a doctor as my career aspiration. I am currently studying medicine at UCL and am taking each challenge as it comes.

Medicine affords great employment stability, but nevertheless offers an array of career choices. I am using my time studying to always look for different options I can take once I qualify, maybe emergency medicine or a surgical speciality. Whichever path I follow, I know my vocation will be a daily privilege to help others.

BA Furniture and Product Design at Nottingham Trent University.

Throughout the years I have considered many careers, as one does when they are a child but the one consistent element of the many jobs I considered was design. The need to improve and create from pre-existing products always underpinned any other interest I had surrounding the job I’d chosen.

After a few years I managed to narrow my focus to a more creative side of design. In the end I chose the course at Nottingham Trent because of its potential for creative freedom. It is my desire now to run my own design company, designing and creating my own bespoke furniture for high end markets.

BA Acting at LMA

I am having a great time at university studying Acting at LMA, where the course is delivered by industry professionals. I am aiming to go down the career path to being a professional actor for either stage or screen, and to try and use the skills I learnt from the IB to achieve that goal in a highly competitive industry. Studying IB Theatre has certainly helped with the practical elements of my course.

BA History/History of Art at the University of York

While I have always found the prospect of choosing a singular career path daunting, through doing the IB I knew my options would remain open. My background in studying many different subjects to an advanced level granted me the freedom to take my time and become fully confident in my degree choice. I hope to go on to study a Masters in London, and while I am still uncertain exactly which field I wish to enter, I know there are many choices. From publishing to museum curation, I wish to fully explore my options through practical work experience, a range of which is available to me through my university’s career programs.

I feel the IB not only allowed me to find my passion, but also pushed me to develop valuable life skills, such as time management and independent learning, which have helped make my transition to university easier.
