GCSE Results 2023
(Posted on 25/08/23)
Congratulations to all of the CIS learners who received their results today. As always, there are so many reasons to celebrate and plenty of individual successes that can’t be summed up into a few paragraphs. Our first set of results in 2019, were actually our last that weren’t effected by the COVID pandemic. A lot has changed since then, we are now one of the most over-subscribed schools in the area and our GCSE results have improved across the metrics by which you can judge success. Each year, more and more students attain that elusive grade 9, with one learner achieving seven into total - WOW.
It isn’t always the final grade that paints the full picture of success. The journey our learners have been on and the progress they have made since joining us at the start of year 10 is the measurement that fills me with the most pride.
Not only is the attainment of our learners improving, the culture on which the school is built continues to thrive. A parent of one of ours learners commented that CIS is “such a lovely, inclusive and caring school that has always encouraged my daughter to feel comfortable and achieve her potential”.
I look forward to seeing many of our learners return for sixth form and to those who are moving on to pastures new, I wish you all the success and happiness for the future. Thank you to every student, parent, governor and staff member who make CIS such a wonderful place to work and learn.
