Chester International School is delighted to announce that on 20th April 2017, Lord Nash wrote finalising our funding agreement:
‘I am very pleased to confirm that the Secretary of State has agreed to enter into a funding agreement with Christleton Learning Trust in relation to Chester International School.’
Tony Lamberton, CEO of Christleton Learning Trust says: ‘This is a significant milestone in the project and we are thrilled to share this news with the community. We have received an overwhelming level of support from parents and students who are unreservedly committed to making this school a success.’
Christleton International will open in September 2017 with its first cohort of Year 10 and Year 12 students and then grow year on year to reach its capacity of 330 pupils. The School will be located in Handbridge, adjacent to Queen’s Park High School and the University of Chester. They are looking ahead to welcoming their first students in September.
Kate Ryan, Principal of Chester International School says: ‘Now that we have received our final Ministerial approval, we will be focusing all our efforts on guaranteeing an outstanding educational experience for our students. This is an extremely exciting time for us and the community.’
‘We have received a tremendous amount of interest from prospective students and parents and we have made 150 offers for places. However, there are still a limited number of offers available and I would encourage those students and parents who may be exploring their options to find out more about Chester International School.
