At CIS we think it's vital for our students and parents to have a strong, open relationship with our teaching staff. And that starts with our Principal, Kate Ryan. Kate has developed and been part of leadership teams in outstanding schools, across a range of curricula, all over the world; from UK to US to New Zealand. She is a true international citizen, speaking five languages and specialising in the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. Kate brings her world spirit back to Chester to provide strong, inspiring leadership for Chester International School.

Let me welcome you to blog, covering exciting developments as we prepare to open our doors to our students. Chester International School, will open as a 14-19 School offering GCSE and an international curriculum in Sixth Form in September 2017.

It is a great privilege for me to be the founding Principal of Chester International School, and I am excited to lead an enormously talented team in exceptional facilities in Chester. My journey to CIS has been an exciting and varied one. Previously I was Director of Academic Enhancement at GEMS Education Americas in New York working with new schools in in the Americas and advising education systems globally with GEMS The Education Partners. I have lived and worked in many countries across five continents and speak English, Spanish, French, Japanese and Greek and consider myself to be particularly internationally minded. My personal vision is to give young people the tools and confidence to follow their passions and at the same time contribute to  their communities and the world at large.

Although CIS is new to Chester, it is a tried and trusted curriculum with IB and will be sponsored by the Outstanding Christleton High School. Our team is building a vibrant and dynamic school, full of enthusiasm. The world truly is our campus.
