This programme is ideal for students who wish to engage in career-related learning while gaining transferable and lifelong skills in applied knowledge, critical thinking, communication and cross-cultural engagement.
For this programme students choose to study:
One Career Related Study from the following course options
- Level 3 AAQ (New BTEC) Health and Social Care
- Level 3 A Level Photography
- Level 3 BTEC Sport Studies
- Level 3 CTEC Digital Media
- Level 3 Food Science and Nutrition
- Level 3 WJEC Music
Plus Two or Three IB Diploma Course options at Higher Level from the options below:

Plus All CP Student study a Core Package of subjects which include:
- The IB Reflective Project (Coursework rewarded with UCAS points)
- Personal Professional Skills (1 hour per week, internally assessed, portfolio based)
- Language Development (1 hour per week, internally assessed, portfolio based)
- Service Learning (Work experience and volunteering programme)
Please note that as part of The Learning Trust Handbridge site sixth form development project, BTEC Sport, WJEC Music, BTEC Food, BTEC Performing Art and A level photography will be taught on the Queen’s Park High Campus next door. Learners can enter the building directly from Chester International School for seemless transition between lessons. All other subject courses and components will be taught at the Chester International School. Learners will be able to benefit from facilities on both sites whilst being on roll at our sixth form.
